Fuel prices in Europe
This month's map from GfK GeoMarketing provides an overview of the current prices for premium and diesel fuels in Europe (map: GfK GeoMarketing; data source: Automobilclub von Deutschland /AvD, www.avd.de).
Fuel prices in Europe for the week of March 7-13, 2011 reached the mid-2008 level, according to the AvD.
Premium fuel in Germany currently costs an average of €1.51 per liter, while diesel costs an average of €1.41 per liter. As such, Germany is clearly above the European average of €1.41 for premium fuel and €1.36 for diesel.
The top prices can be found in Norway, where both types of fuel cost €1.79 per liter. (Prices for the new E10 fuel are not yet available for all of Europe).
