Automatically optimizing sales territory structures

RegioGraph Planning can automatically optimize existing sales territory structures according to the specified criteria. The following parameters can be taken into account:

• numerical variables such as workload, turnover and purchasing power
• regional boundaries such as those for federal states
• regional weightings
• The changes to be made can be bounded - e.g., you can specify that a given change be applied to a maximum of x customers.

When automatically optimizing territories, accessibility and geographic barriers are taken into account to the degree allowed by the user-defined weightings.

Target parameters can be weighted differently.

Interactively optimizing sales territory structures

Existing territory structures can be interatively optimized. As in the case of automatic optimization, the following parameters can be specified:

• numerical target variables such as workload, turnover and purchasing power
• accessibility and geographic barriers
• regional boundaries, such as those for federal states
• regional weightings

The target parameters can be weighted differently. RegioGraph Planning makes suggestions for changes through a special dialog window. These are shown on the map, in a suggestion list and a diagram. You can then decide whether to accept or reject the suggested changes on a case-by-case basis.
