The World Edition offers one of the largest collections of vector-based administrative and postcode maps for countries around the globe (maps also available for separate purchase). Maps are based on geographic coordinates (WGS 84). Map layers provide comprehensive, gapless coverage and fit together seamlessly (e.g., in the case of neighboring countries).

The World Edition is a composite of the individual continent editions. Detailed descriptions of the contents of the continent editions can be found on the corresponding websites. General details are given below.

World - postcode maps

Postcode boundaries are included for Europe, America, Asia, Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

World - administrative maps

Every country-specific map set contained in the World Edition includes at least the major administrative boundaries. Demarcations for administrative units down to the level of municipalities are provided for most countries in America, Australia and New Zealand, Europe - and, to a partial extent - Asia and Africa editions.

World - topographic maps

Almost all countries include map layers featuring cities (organized by number of inhabitants), streets, rivers and lakes. Maps for European countries include additional layers featuring urban areas and elevation levels, among others.
