The CRESTA map edition reveals worldwide zones of elevated natural disaster risks as determined by CRESTA (Catastrophe Risk Evaluating and Standardizing Target Accumulations). In collaboration with the reinsurance companies Münchener Rück and Swiss Re, GfK GeoMarketing offers maps illustrating the worldwide CRESTA zones. CRESTA maps are used to determine detailed zones of elevated risk on a country-by-country basis. These zones are a widely accepted standard among the international insurance and reinsurance industries.
The CRESTA map contains the official zone and sub-zone identifiers for every continent. All zones and sub-zones are labelled with their official numerical codes.
The map is based on geographic coordinates (WGS 84). All map layers provide comprehensive coverage and fit together seamlessly.
