1) Geomarketing knowledge: Germany's retail markets
Berlin, Hamburg and Munich are the three dominant retail centers with the highest net retail purchasing power in Germany. However, the drawing power of retail trade in the smaller and mid-sized German towns in particular is often disproportionately strong when compared to their actual population. These are some of the findings of the GfK Retail Location Guide for Germany for 2008...

2) User report: Streamlining a physicians’ insurance consulting network with DISTRICT
The Association of Financial Consultants for German Physicians (Deutsche Ärzte Finanz) has been using RegioGraph since 2002 and DISTRICT since 2005 for the visualization of company data, in addition to the planning and further development of service structures. Read how DISTRICT helps the company in planning optimal sales territories and why it has "proven indispensible"...

3) Digital maps: Worldwide postcode maps as basis for all geomarketing analyses
Digital maps form the basis of all geomarketing analyses and software applications. Postcode maps are especially indispensable when it comes to precisely locating customers.
GfK GeoMarketing produces the world’s largest collection of digital maps – we offer seamlessly fitting maps for 240 countries worldwide, available in all standard data formats. The high-quality of our maps is immediately apparent – check out some samples and see for yourself:

4) Market data: GfK Retail Centrality, GfK Retail Purchasing Power and GfK POS Turnover
GfK Retail Centrality is a measure of the attractiveness of a city with regard to its ability to draw and sustain retail trade. A city is considered particularly attractive economically when it achieves a purchasing power higher than that which would be possible from its inhabitants alone. This can be determined by comparing the retail purchasing power of the city's residents to the retail turnover achieved at the retail location (GfK POS Turnover for the Retail Trade). The resulting "GfK Retail Centrality" is directly related to the extent and frequency of customer in- and outflows from the outlying regions.
GfK GeoMarketing updates these important market indices each year for many European countries. For 2008, we have already updated Germany, France, Poland and Austria - just to name several.
